Dear Berlin Middle School Families,
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you how eager I am to begin this upcoming school year at Berlin Middle School as assistant principal/activities director.
I recently finished up my first year at Clay Lamberton as the assistant principal and previously was the behavioral specialist for the building the year prior. I graduated and earned my bachelors in education from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where I was a dual major in regular education and special education cross-categorical. I then continued my passion in the educational field where I received my Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy as well as my PK-12 Principal Licensure from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Prior to being hired as the assistant principal/activities director at Berlin Middle School, I was fortunate to have had many positive teaching experiences. I am going into my thirteenth year in the education field. My experiences as a special education teacher, co-teacher, youth mental health administrator, behavioral specialist, and assistant principal have allowed me to develop mental health and behavioral programming for students across grades K-8 while meeting each individual student's academic needs. I have previously taught in Gillett, Menasha, and Little Chute School Districts.
As assistant principal, many of my duties included supporting students, families, staff, and the community around the topic of social-emotional, behavioral, and/or mental health issues. I am a huge supporter of proactively processing school, community, bus, and athletic concerns so that the safety and wellbeing of all is at the forefront of our decisions while adhering to the building’s and district policies.
In my free time I enjoy being with family. My wife (Alicia) and two kids (Sawyer- 6 years old and Amelia- 8 years old) are the joys of my life. We also have two dogs that we rescued as puppies named Piper and Annie. As a family we enjoy being outside as much as possible whether that is hiking, biking, fishing, playing sports, boating, camping, or making s'mores around the campfire. Being in Wisconsin it goes without saying that I am a huge Packer, Brewer, Bucks, and Badger fan. Our fall weekends are filled with the Badger and Packer games.
Berlin holds a special place in my heart so I am excited about the new opportunity to be assistant principal/activities director at Berlin Middle School where students will be learning and succeeding at a high level both academically and functionally. If you ever have any questions, concerns, or simply want to chat, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
|
