It is our vision that the library media center will provide an educational function designed to further the intellectual, social, and emotional development of the students, staff, and community. Our resources will be utilized by students, staff, and the community to acquire the information and skills necessary to pursue lifelong learning and reading and to become effective users of information technology.
The BHS LMC has an extensive collection of resources available to our users. Our collection includes access to almost 9,500 fiction, over 14,500 nonfiction, 1,200 reference titles, local newspapers, and over 40 magazine subscriptions. Students are encouraged to use the resources and databases provided in the Badgerlink Online Library and the Careers Internet Database. These resources can also be accessed at home (Please see Mrs. Gumtow for login information.). Our media center includes a computer lab. In addition, Chromebooks and Nooks are available for student checkout.
The LMC is open from 7:45 am until 4:00 pm on most school days and during lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We offer a variety of enrichments and resources during C.I.A. period and host a variety of student organizations, including Key Club, Manga Club, and the BHS Battle of the Books Team.
