Melissa Johnston, known as MJ, joined ThedaCare Orthopedics in July 2003 as a licensed athletic trainer for the Berlin Area School District. She is dedicated to building strong relationships with all athletes, demonstrating both grace and pride in her work. Her exceptional work ethic and compassionate personality make us incredibly fortunate to have her as BASD's Athletic Trainer.

Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with an Emphasis in Athletic Training from UW-Oshkosh in 2002. Additionally, she has received training in ImPACT administration and is a WIAA Certified Skinfold Tester. Currently, she is certified by NATABOC and holds a license in the state of Wisconsin. A proud native of Marinette, Wisconsin, MJ brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.
